Thirst for Transformation (Sede de Transformação) was a one-day event for the Operations Unity (UOP in Portuguese) of a major Brazilian bank. The attendees were supposed to go through six different workshops and at each one of those they should experience a different competence and create an input to be shared with the whole unit.
My job, alongside my team at Ekoá Games and Gamification, was to gamify this event as well as elaborate some of the workshops to train protagonism, creativity, and teamwork. Firstly, we had the diagnosis stage where we sat with our clients to understand who were our attendees, their background, and their expectations.
From our meetings, we concluded that the best strategy to gamify this event was to use a web application to help the users interact with everyone at the event at the same time, without compromising their mobile's storage space and also using technology to empower the human connections instead of replacing them.
Next up, we created the wireframes of each challenge and interaction the users would have with the web application and organized them on the user flow.
With the wireframes done and the user flow constructed, it was time to validate this experience with the client. After their approval, we further developed the visual aspects of the application.
After that we worked on the offline part of the event, creating a custom name tag that would help the attendees navigate through the day paired up with a printed tutorial on how to use the application.
Lastly, we were present at the event to give support to the attendees and guarantee that their experience was the best possible. In this particular event, our team was responsible not only for the gamification but for all the workshops, user experience, and visual identity of the event. I coordinated the gamification and user experience team and was responsible for the graphic design of some of the screens and icons of the application.
